The Get You recreates the songs of Fred Eltringham’s musical heroes. Fred carefully curates his selections and intentionally ignores "the hits". Well, sometimes he gives us the hits, but most of the time he sheds light on the deeper cuts, giving us an alternative appreciation for some of music's greatest writers. His garage transforms into a studio-sanctuary where lo-fi labors of love come to life. Once upon a time in 2014, David LaFlèche, was visiting Fred from Montreal. Fred asked David to lay some guitar down on a basement demo and the result was instant magic. Thusly, The Get You was born. Over the next two years, in between Fred’s touring schedule with Sheryl Crow, and recording sessions as one of Nashville's most sought after studio drummers, songs were sent back and forth between Nashville and Montreal. Sheryl, along with other Fred-comrades, Ben Kweller and Kacey Musgraves, joined in to add their own personal touches to this unique debut set of songs
